Tim Cook has revealed information to double reading, since announcing that 36 new countries would be open to 4G, he confessed to half term launch of iOS 6.1. Indeed, for the activation of 4G LTE on the iPhone 5, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, to be effective, it must necessarily go through an update of iOS. In fact, they are all jailbreak enthusiasts who will be thrilled, as Pod2g and Planetbeing not expecting it to release the untethered jailbreak of the iPhone 5. An announcement from them should not hang out even if they have yet to address issues related to the activation code.

To return to the subject of 4G LTE, Tim Cook said she would be activated in 36 new countries, including Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Finland, the Philippines and several countries in the Middle East. France does obviously not part of the band as frequencies (1800MHz 2100MHz and) are not yet supported by operators. These, however, are beginning to deal with and should deploy ground network in 2014. It is therefore unlikely that we can enjoy on our iPhones 5.

To recap, the 4G LTE is already available in a dozen countries, including the USA, Germany, Canada, Japan and Britain. It can reach theoretical speeds of 100Mb / s, against 14.4 Mb / s for 3G and 42MB / s for H +. In France, SFR and Orange have already started deploying in a few major cities such as Paris and Lyon.
